The main subject of my image is clouds in the sky with light peering through them. I took this picture because I thought the clouds and colours were interesting. The photos main focus is the colours on the clouds and I think this worked as there was light and dark colours on the clouds so it made it quite interesting. There is no clear shapes as the image was taken on a phone, so it is quite blurry, although the main focus is clear. This photo could be improved by using a camera and steadying the image before I took it.
My teacher said ‘ it lovely light, I love the contrast between the colours but it is a bit dull and would look nicer with more colours’.
My friend Amy said ‘it’s a bit dark, but the colours are nice’.
My image is blurry compared to the professional image and the professional image had more light than mine. The professional image was a lot nicer than mine but I can always learn from my mistakes and choose a lighter setting and I can steady the camera before taking the image.

The main subject of my image is the silhouette of an umbrella. I took this picture as I wanted to be inventive and I really liked the camera angle. This is one of my favourite photos I have taken as it shows good lines, it uses the rule of thirds and you can see the light shinning though the umbrella. The photo has no distractions as the main focus is the umbrella and there is no other object in the picture. This image shows very good lines as the umbrella stands out against the blue sky. This photo could be improved by the umbrella showing its nice wooden colour although I would not change this image, as I believe it’s very effective.
My teacher said ‘ nice, I like it, very good lines, shows main focus. That is a very good image’.
My friend Amy said ‘ that’s very unique, very effective. The umbrella is quite dark but it still works’.
My friend Kim said ‘ that’s good, gives a very summer feeling, its nice’.
I could not compare my photo to a similar photo as my image was so different although I found a different image of an umbrella with light shinning through it and this image also shown very good lines. This was still hard to compare as the images are so different.

The main subject of my image is the pyramids in Egypt, and I took this image when I was on holiday so I would remember what the pyramids looked like from my own image. It means a lot to me as it reminds me of my holiday. The photo’s main focus is the pyramids as they are central in the image and there are no distractions on the image. The basic shapes in this are square based pyramids. This photo could be improved by the lighting as it is dark and the image cut sides of the pyramids out of the shot. Although this is clear, you can still see the main subject of the image.
My teacher said ‘ the image is good as it shows the main focus but the image cuts some of the focus out of the shot. Also the colour of the image is quite dark and could be lighter but overall it is a very good image.’
My friend Amy said ‘ I like this picture as it is different but the picture could be lighter.’
My photo is similar to the professional photo although the professional photo has brighter colours that stand out and have the whole image, although the people in frount of the pyramids are a distraction to the main focus and my image has no distractions.
